When you look in the mirror and see scars, skin tags or moles, are you dismayed? If you are ready to look your best again, Laser Cliniqúe can help with our scar, skin tag and mole and wart removal services.

At Laser Cliniqúe, our goal is to provide skin treatments that are highly effective, as well as minimally invasive. That is why we offer minimally invasive treatment for scar, skin tag & mole and wart removal.

For scars, we offer treatment that is tailored for your skin type, size of the flaw, and its visibility. Our goal is to lighten the appearance of the scar or to remove it completely, depending on what is possible, and your specific wishes and needs. Skin tags and warts can be removed using surgical tools, freezing technology or an excision process. For moles, we can use Laser Surgery, Traditional Surgery, Electrosurgery and a variety of other techniques. Regardless of the technique used, you can be certain that the result will make a dramatic difference, and restore self-confidence in your appearance.

What Are Moles and Skin Tags?

Moles are typically benign skin lesions. They are darker than the surrounding skin because they are made up of cells that produce pigment. Most moles are brown in color, but they can be black, blue, or flesh-colored, as well. They can appear anywhere on the skin, in groups or individually.

Most moles appear during the first 25 years of life, and it is considered normal to have 10 to 40 by the time you reach adulthood. They may change color or become raised over time.

Melanocytes are the cells that make the pigment that gives the skin its natural color. Moles develop when these cells grow in clusters, rather than being more evenly distributed throughout the skin. They may darken during adolescence, after exposure to the sun, or during pregnancy.

Skin Tags

Skin tags are invariably benign. These lesions are small flaps of skin protruding out from the body on a thin stem. Skin tags are most commonly found on the neck, chest, armpits, back, under the breasts, and in the groin area. They appear most frequently in women, particularly with weight gain, and in older people.

One theory is that skin tags are caused by blood vessels and bunches of collagen trapped inside thicker segments of skin. They are believed to be caused by skin rubbing against skin, which is why they are more commonly found in skin folds and creases. Skin tags are common:

  • In overweight and obese people (who have more skin folds and creases)
  • During pregnancy, when hormonal changes occur
  • In people with diabetes
  • With sex steroid imbalance -- when changes in levels of estrogen and progesterone occur
