How CoolSculpting® works

In 2005, the CoolSculpting® process (cryolipolysis) was discovered and developed by two doctors working with Harvard Medical School. In cryolipolysis, fat cells are frozen. Once the fat cells are crystallized, the body will gradually process them as waste over the next few weeks. The result is a more toned, attractive body contour. Only the fat cells are frozen, so you don’t have to worry about surgery, scars, or downtime.

With our new upgraded applicators, CoolSculpting® treatments are even more comfortable and effective. Treatments take less time (35 minutes; almost half the regular time of a CoolSculpting® appointment), and more tissue can be treated. There is greater comfort, better results, and a larger cooling area thanks to the new cup design and colder temperatures. 

We also offer CoolAdvantage Petite, perfect for persistent upper arm fat (“bat wings”). Arm fat is the third most frustrating area on the body to lose weight, which is exactly why the CoolAdvantage Petite applicator was designed. This is one of the only non-invasive fat removal technology approved by the FDA to treat upper arms. 

How much does CoolSculpting® cost in San Diego?

CoolSculpting® is a very affordable procedure, as there’s no anesthesia, surgery, or overnight stay in the hospital, which reduces the cost compared to liposuction.
