How Botox Works to Reduce Wrinkles?
When you are fighting wrinkles, whether it is fine lines that are just emerging or the deep set “hatchet lines” between the eyebrows, Botox treatment is usually the most effective way to combat these problems. When you use topical creams, they may be able to lend some extra moisture to your skin and temporarily improve the appearance of your skin a little bit, but the skin can only absorb part of the cream so the benefits will last for a very short time to soften the appearance of wrinkles.
Botox medical treatment works differently because it actually reduces wrinkles for several months by going directly into the muscles that cause the dreaded frown lines and similar facial wrinkling. Botox essentially causes the muscles to relax from there contracted state — which makes it hard for patients to keep making those same frown expressions over and over. When the muscles are prevented from moving in those same damaging patterns, the wrinkles will be largely removed, and new ones will not form.
As long as you get Botox on a regular basis, typically every three to four months or so, your wrinkles will be held at bay. Many Botox users find that they easily take 10 years off their age in terms of appearance. Other frequent results are a more rested look and an overall more vibrant appearance!
