IPL (Photo Rejuvenation)

IPL, which stands for Intense Pulsed Light, is also known as Photo Rejuvenation or Photo Facial or Foto Facial. IPL is a light laser treatment to treat and rejuvenate the skin, resulting in a more youthful appearance.  IPL helps treat sun damage, age spots, redness, rosacea, fine lines and melasma.  It also helps give you evenness of the texture of your skin. 

Typically 3-5 treatments are required, depending upon your skin type and what area is being treated.  Treatments occur approximately every 4 weeks.  IPL treatments provide consistent visible improvements in your skin with no down time and minimal risk.  These treatments can take place even during your lunch hour.

How long does an IPL treatment take?

Depending on what areas will be treated, it can take approximately 30 to 45 minutes.

How may IPL treatments are required?

Depending upon your skin type and what you are treating, 3-5 treatments are required for optimal results.  The treatments are 4 weeks apart.  Some patients will benefit from additional treatments.

What areas can IPL treat?

IPL can treat any area that is of concern to you.  The most common areas are the face, neck, chest and hands.  However, other areas such as the back, legs, or arms can also be treated.
